About This Project

The Walk for Memories is the largest annual fundraising event for the Alzheimer Society of Toronto.  In addition to the marketing for this event I was also responsible for our online systems and for fostering one of our major strategic partnerships.

Marketing Materials
I developed all marketing and promotional materials for the Walk including brochures, advertisements and direct mail pieces.

Advertising Buys
I managed all the advertising buys and a portfolio of vendor relationships including CTV, Pattison, Outfront Media and Captivate Network.

Online Systems
I was the project lead on the implementation of a new P2P fundraising platform (TeamRaiser) and microsite for the event.

Strategic Partnerships
I fostered one of our most valuable strategic partnerships with The Printing House (TPH) by proposing and developing a unique activation campaign around their services.  This included:

  • Associating their brand with the Wall of Memories — a memorial wall that’s been a cornerstone of this event for the past 25 years.
  • Working with them to develop an online memorial card system to raise awareness of their online ordering and media creation services.
  • Developing a direct-mail campaign to raise awareness of the new online system and get TPH product into the hands of our constituents.
  • Convincing TPH to bring a couple of their 3D printers to the event to raise awareness of their dedicated 3D printing services.

Not only was the Wall covered from top to bottom in memorial cards ordered through their online system but their booth was swarmed with excited children and families throughout the whole event.
